Dr. Jeremy Phan was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Computational Biology. He then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and received a Doctorate of Optometry at the end of his education.
During his training, he was a part of the College of Optometry’s specialty clinics of Neuro-Ophthalmology, Special Needs, Neuro-Rehabilitation, and Surgical Evaluations. He then rotated to a rural private practice in Northeastern Texas, where he diagnosed and managed patients in Nacadoches, Center, and also in Logansport, Louisiana with conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye, and pre/post-operation evaluations. Dr. Phan then finished his training working alongside Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he traveled around Cherokee Nation to help treat and manage patients in those areas as well. During this time, he furthered his skills in evaluating and managing diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma as well as participated in laser eye procedures.
During his free time, Dr. Phan enjoys playing games and chatting with his friends online. Some of his other hobbies include 3D printing and modeling, tinkering with computer software, and crafting little knick-knacks.
